I made "Περιστερώνας" (Peristeronas, or Dovecote) in 2014 as part of a series using plexiglass and string. Its construction required extreme precision, as strands of string were woven through holes I drilled in the plexiglass, to create a geometry inspired by the triangular shapes often used in the dovecote my home island of Tinos, Greece is famous for. The strings are held in suspension by weights at their ends. The pattern is doubled through a reflective panel of plexiglass which serves as the back pane of the construction. Wall-mounted, 31x36x12".
